Preparation and Application
Start with a clarifying shampoo to remove buildup, followed by a moisturizing shampoo to cleanse and hydrate.
Apply a deep conditioner suitable for 4C hair to restore moisture. Leave it on for 15-30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
Gently detangle the hair using a wide-tooth comb or detangling brush, working from the ends up to prevent breakage.
Apply a leave-in conditioner to damp hair for added moisture.
Add heat protecting serum to damp hair.
Blow-Drying:
*Divide the hair into manageable sections (4-8).
*Used a paddle brush, dry each section.
*Spray a heat protectant on each section before straightening to prevent damage.
Flat Ironing
Took small sections of hair and glided the flat iron through, ensuring even pressure. Used the chase method (comb followed by flat iron) for smoother results. Temperature was set to around 400°F.
